Finally the majority of people will unsub they'll squeeze the last out of WoW Classic and then based on the money thats been made release TBC. Either release TBC that will surely make money and require a lot less time to develop or keep vanilla microtransaction free with wow classic gold, create new content and potentially class balances the community is broken over and could possibly bring about a flop? Which do you think they will choose given that they did not want to make WoW Classic in the first place? In addition, I don't think that's a poor thing that's just what will likely wind up happening.Considering people have been enjoying vanilla private servers for years and still don't get sick of it says a whole lot about WoW Classic. I believe also if it is super effective maybe will make a WoW Classic reforged(using so many servers) with tougher raids and mechanisms in them and course tweaks to make more class specs workable for that scene. With also maybe completing the Kharazhan 40 man and the black morass dungeons they were goin to do but decided to produce the TBC instead.A good deal of people combined WoW Classic too late and didn't get to experience the majority of the articles or did not even bother looking into the meta. Apart from those who played with vanilla on personal servers, the majority of people have not played WoW Classic at the level. I don't believe the meta things as much as people believe it will, strategies for bosses is obviously pretty much worked out within a couple days anyway, direct videos and BiS lists wouldn't take long to create even if the content was fresh. I place 3 years into a vanilla server and mained a single character I did not really get bored either, doing progression raids was fun even after I cleared naxx I still had things to do and getting rank 13 (not HWL since the reward for casters is easily superseeded). WoW Classic will be the first time many people will be able to play with vanilla on a good online connection with a decent computer too. Onto a piece of **** computer that would run at like 20fps during raids together with all the settings on low.
Great video as always, however while I agree with you on most of the points I really hope Retail won't become a casuals dream theme park. I play WoW Classic mainly for the lore, and while the lore of WoW Classic is filled with great stories I know it by heart so although I believe myself to be, if not hardcore at least semi-hardcore, I will still wish to play with Retail to progress the narrative and lore of WoW Classic. I would be very sad if the hardcore, and lets be fair by hardcore you imply great players but can not actually say that, just give up on Retail and proceed for WoW Classic. There are already a lot of players to play with.
I totally agree here. I believe that a fantastic aspect to go into WoW Classic would be to think about what patches would contain after 1.12.1 if TBC was not published. Class balancing would unquestionably be a thing.Making courses more balanced could provide more flavor to WoW Classic. Creating more reasons to perform unique classes. And by equilibrium I don't mean making them exactly the same, just more equally viable picks for their planned purposes with gold in wow classic.Like me. I love Enhancement Shamans, however that I can not really play with it late match in PVE.One of the greatest things with TBC was the Tier places that was optimized for distinct class specializations. I'd be open for this too.
